WNC RESOURCES
Asheville partners making an impact in our community:
Youth OUTright
Regional youth advocacy and leadership non-profit organization solely dedicated to empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual and allied (LGBTQIA+) youth ages 11-20 in Western North Carolina. Meetings: 16-20 year-olds meet 1st and 3rd Sundays, 11-15 year-olds meet 2nd and 4th Sundays. Contact them at info@youthoutright.org.
Tranzmission

Campaign for Southern Equality

Founded in 1973 after the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization.
LGBTQ+ Community Resources for College Students
Stevens Institute of Technology provides resources for teens and college students like LGBTQ+-friendly colleges, anti-bullying resources and support group information.
National Center for Transgender Equality
The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.
Gender Spectrum
Provides education, training, and support to help create a gender sensitive and inclusive environment for all children and teens. The Lounge: The “Lounge” is a space for teens, parents, and professionals to connect with one another. Members can form their own groups and participate in our broader online community. Meet new people and connect with friends and colleagues online. *Registration required.

The Trevor Project
